How to Maintain and Use a Crane Hoist?

Proper maintenance and use are key to ensuring the long-term reliable operation of a crane hoist. Before daily operation, perform a visual inspection: check the chain/wire rope for deformation, cracks, or excessive wear; confirm that the hook rotates freely and the safety lock is intact; test the control system response for normal operation.

Lubrication maintenance should be performed every 250 working hours or monthly: clean and lubricate all moving joints of the chain/wire rope with a dedicated lubricant. For electric hoists, regularly check the wear of the motor carbon brushes and clean internal dust with dry compressed air.

Operating Procedures: Always maintain a stable load during lifting, avoiding sudden starts or stops. Overloading is strictly prohibited; it is recommended to keep the load within 85% of the rated capacity. When the hoist is not in use, the hook should be raised to the upper limit and the power disconnected.

Establish a maintenance log to record each inspection and maintenance. This not only extends the equipment's lifespan but also provides valid evidence in case of disputes. We offer detailed maintenance video guides and regular maintenance reminders.
